I've had several breeds of dogs, but for my personal satisfaction, as the Dogo Canario none.
I like the dog safe, secure, hard barker, warm but not sticky, compliant with a strong instinct to guard, suspicious of strangers but not aggressive, short hair and with few diseases, and with the owners (the family) not dominant, to be hard physically, because a dog sensitive to interact with children is a dog with problems when playing but I think a dog is not a toy for them.
I have been breeding and selecting Dogos Canarios from 1994, which is not too long compared to some breeders, but I have always been clear what I wanted from the beginning. On the stand of the race is what every farmer wants to achieve, a perfect dog physically and psychologically.
